What is Callfetti?

Callfetti is an iPhone app that makes pretend calls. Original characters, such as Santa, the Tooth Fairy and Boo the Cozy Ghost, call with short recorded stories. In each story, the person who answers taps to choose what happens next. You can also make your own callers with a photo and an audio clip, and schedule a call for later.

Every call happens inside the app. Callfetti does not use your phone number or mobile carrier, and it cannot call real people.

  1. Pick a caller

    Choose a character, or one of your own callers.

  2. Choose a story

    Add their name to the call screen, and choose video or audio only.

  3. Ring now or later

    Call now, start a countdown, or set a reminder.

  4. Keep the moment

    Optionally record their reaction, and save it in Moments.

Questions and answers

What is Callfetti?

Callfetti is an iPhone app for pretend calls. Characters such as Santa, the Tooth Fairy and Boo the Cozy Ghost call with short recorded stories, and you can also make your own callers. The call happens inside the app.

Is a Callfetti call a real phone call?

No. Every Callfetti call is simulated inside the app. It does not use your phone number, your mobile carrier or the Phone app, and it cannot call or text anyone.

Who is Callfetti for?

Parents, families and friends who want a fun surprise, such as a call from the Tooth Fairy after a lost tooth or from Santa before Christmas. Adults can also use everyday callers, for example a call from a friend when they want a reason to leave. An adult should set up calls for young children.

Can the character say my child’s name?

You can add a name that appears on the call screen. The character voices are prerecorded, so they do not speak the name.

Can I schedule a call for later?

Yes, up to an hour ahead. Use an in-app countdown while the app stays open, or set a notification reminder and tap it to open the call. Both can be set up to 59 minutes and 59 seconds ahead. Callfetti does not ring on the Lock Screen like a real phone call.

Do I need an account?

No. Callfetti has no sign-up and no login.

Where are my photos, audio and reaction videos stored?

On your iPhone. Custom callers, imported audio, reminders and saved Moments stay on the device. Callfetti does not upload them. You decide if you share a video.

How much does Callfetti cost?

At launch, Callfetti is planned to be free to download. You can browse every character, finish one story for free and replay it, and make your first custom call for free. A Premium monthly or annual subscription through Apple unlocks every story and unlimited custom calls. The app shows the price before you buy.

When is Callfetti available, and on which devices?

Callfetti is coming soon to iPhone with iOS 17 or later. There is no Android version at this time.
